In late March, the Department of Water Management’s private contractor will begin preliminary construction work at the intersection of Argyle and Keeler. Following, Department of Water Management in-house crews will install a new sewer main in:
- Keeler (Argyle-Ainslie)
- Ainslie (Keeler-Tripp)
- Kenneth (Lawrence-Ainslie)
- Lowell (Argyle-Ainslie)
- Kostner (Foster-Carmen)
- Carmen (Kostner-Kilbourn)
- Kilbourn (Carmen-Kentucky)
- Kentucky (Kilbourn – 140 feet west)
- Kennison (Kilbourn-Kolmar)
The old sewer dates back to 1916 and needs to be replaced.
When the Department of Water Management is working in the street, we may close or limit it to traffic for safety reasons, but you will always be able to reach your home or business. Outside of working hours, a travel lane will be left open for local traffic only.
Department of Water Management will post their work area for “No Parking” as needed during work hours (generally 7am-4pm). They are agreeable to parking outside of those hours, but cars will need to be moved by the start of the next workday. They will try to preserve as much parking as possible.
Department of Water Management knows that construction always involves inconveniences and noise. They will do everything possible to maintain your quality of life throughout these projects, and conducting themselves as good and thoughtful neighbors in the course of their presence on your street.
