Blue Cart Recycling Program expands in the 39th Ward

Alderman Margaret Laurino is pleased to announce that the City's Blue Cart Recycling Program will soon be expanded to include all of the 39th Ward.  Blue carts are scheduled to be delivered by the end of March. The Blue Cart expansion includes residences from Central Park to Cicero Ave. and Devon to the southern boundaries of the 39th Ward. Residences receiving carts will be given literature with instructions on how and what to recycle.

The city is scheduling a series of informational community meetings to answer questions about the program. The meetings are:

• Wednesday, March 18, 7:00 p.m., Kilbourn Park, 3501 N. Kilbourn
• Thursday, March 19, 7:00 p.m., Disney II Magnet School, 3815 N. Kedvale
• Saturday, March 21, 10:00 a.m., Mayfair Library, 4400 W. Lawrence
• Monday, March 23, 7:00 p.m., North Park Village, 5801 N. Pulaski
Tuesday, March 24, 7:00 p.m., Barry Elementary School, 2828 N. Kilbourn
