Electronics Recycling Event Need to get rid of an old television? Want to recycle your outdated computer? Then drop off your used, broken or outdated equipment at Alderman Laurino's 39th Ward Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, May 19, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at Northeastern Illinois University, Parking Lot L (just west of St. Louis Ave., between Foster and Bryn Mawr). Electronics that will be accepted include: Computers, Monitors, Fax Machines, Printers, TVs, DVD Players, VCRs, PDAs, MP3 Players, Video Equipment and Mobile Phones. Items that will not be accepted are home appliances, household hazardous waste, or mercury containing devices. Materials will be safely and securely recycled by Sims Recycling Solutions. All net proceeds will benefit the Albany Park Community Center. |
